The exhibit spotlights the work of important artists from the history of art that emerged from Arab countries. The collection brings to light the evolution of painting in the region and includes various styles of painting, from cubism such as “Red Rooster” by Shaker Hassan (Iraq) and abstract works such as “View of Qannoubine Valley” by Saliba Douaihy (Lebanon) to realism such as “Bride of the Nile” by Farghali Abdel Hafez (Egypt) and “Persons” by Fateh Moudarres (Syria).
