What to Expect

A candlelit corner. A quiet page. A moment to reconnect with your thoughts.

Evening Ink is a soulful evening writing ritual designed for poets, journalers, dreamers, and quiet minds.

Once a week throughout the month of August, we dim the lights, light the candles, and invite you to simply write — without pressure, without noise, just presence.

A Prompt to Light Your Way

Each session features a soft, optional writing prompt placed at your table. It’s there only if you need a spark.

You can write in any language — English, Arabic, or another language. This is your space.

What to Bring

Bring your favorite pen and notebook — or borrow ours.
We’ll have extra paper and pens for anyone who needs them. Candles will be placed on every table to guide your night.

Want to Share Your Words?

At the end of each session, you’re invited (but never required) to leave a sentence or thought anonymously on a small card. These handwritten fragments may be shared—poetically—on Kutubna’s Instagram as part of our Written by Candlelight series.
