Week 1

Junk Journaling

Join us for a cozy junk journaling session! Bring your own journal and get creative with our collection of colourful scraps and cutouts. There are no rules, just plenty of materials to experiment with and make something uniquely yours.

Week 2

Basics of Crochet

Friday, November 13 | 4:00 – 5:30 pm

Learn the basics of crochet, from holding a hook to making your first stitches. Whether you've never crocheted before or just want to pick up a new hobby, this workshop is a great place to start. Beginner-friendly. All materials will be provided.

Week 3

Bedazzle Your Own Book

Friday, November 20 | 4:00 – 5:00 pm

Pick a pre-loved book from Kutubna and give it a makeover! Bedazzle it with beautiful rhinestones, gems and all things sparkly. Play around with different colours and designs, and turn it into something you’ll love keeping on your shelf. All Materials will be provided.

Week 4

Make Your Own Keychain

Friday, November 27 | 4:00 – 5:30 pm

Create your own personalised keychain at our DIY charm bar. Choose from a variety of charms, beads, and accessories, and put together something that matches your style. All materials will be provided.

About the facilitator: Ruqaiya Allana is an English educator, aspiring anthropologist, and craft enthusiast. She has worked with Kutubna Cultural Center on its oral history project and has facilitated a range of creative workshops for children. With a love for arts, crafts, and storytelling, she enjoys bringing people together through hands-on activities and encouraging them to explore their creativity.
