Writers’ Mixer

The Writers’ Mixer at Kutubna Cultural Center is a welcoming gathering for writers and poets to meet, exchange ideas, and build connections within the literary community.

“Billy Bear’s Brown Hair”: A Storytime for Kids

When Billy Bear tries to change his appearance, he realizes it doesn't bring him happiness. With the help of his friend, Funny bunny, he discovers that staying true to himself is the most important thing.

Connecting with Ancestors: Finding Love in the Ancestral Timeline

This is a reclamation on channeling your ancestors on the page. There will be brief writing meditation to help ground participants, and we will end with a group writing activity.
“Under The Shade of an Old Ghaf Tree”: A Storytime for kids

Join Hana the hare, Faris the falcon, and their friends for a picnic in the desert. With plates full of treats and hearts full of joy, they soon discover that the greatest gift of all is sharing.

Muslim Philosophers: Al-Farabi
Lecture led by Dr. Shatha Al Mutawa | Sun, Feb 22 | 4 pm | 50 AED
This lecture series offers an introduction to key Muslim thinkers of great importance to the history of philosophy. The second lecture focuses on Al-Farabi, looking at the relationship between philosophy, theology, and politics.

Writing The Novel: A Reading Group via WhatsApp

A year-long ongoing reading group for aspiring and practicing writers, delivered in an accessible WhatsApp format.

Arabic Lessons 1, 2 & 3 — Alphabet, Words, and Sentences (via WhatsApp)

Delivered by Whatsapp, these beginner-friendly group workshops cover basic Arabic reading and writing with a focus on the UAE context.

Digital Art Exhibition

Kutubna Cultural Center is hosting a Digital Art Exhibition that showcases more than 35 pieces from artists around the world. The exhibit, which features printed digital art, explores topics such as identity, heritage, healing, protest, and how technology connects with human life, providing visitors with a visually captivating and stimulating experience.
