Arabic singing workshop

Time:
5 pm - 6:30 pm
Registration Fee: 50 AED

Location: Kutubna Cultural Center, Madina Avenues, Nadd Al Hamar, Dubai

This adult Arabic singing workshop is designed for beginners and curious adults with no prior experience. In a calm, structured small group, participants learn the essential maqamat of Arabic music through the voice: core breathing and vocal-placement exercises, how each maqam feels and moves, and well-known songs that bring those maqamat to life. Sessions can run as an 8-meeting series (about 40 minutes each) or as a one-off taster, and the pace is adjusted to the group. Men and women aged 18–60 are welcome.

Wael Salah is an Egyptian singer, oud player, composer and music educator based in Dubai. He teaches Arabic singing and oud in person and online, drawing on about fifteen years of teaching and performing across Egypt, Oman, Kuwait and the UAE. A Minia University music-education graduate and founder of Rouh Dubai Choir (Dubai Opera), he builds a calm, structured foundation before maqam and performance.
