A candlelit corner. A quiet page. A moment to reconnect with your thoughts. Evening Ink is a soulful evening writing ritual designed for poets, journalers, dreamers and quiet minds.
Once a week in the month of July, we dim the lights, light the candles, and invite you to simply write—without pressure, without noise, just presence.
What to Expect
Location: Downstairs at Kutubna
Date: Thursdays of July
Time: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PM
Fee: AED 15 per person
Special Offer: The first 10 participants will receive a free notebook or tote bag
A Prompt to Light Your Way
Each session features a soft, optional writing prompt placed at your table.
It’s there only if you need a spark.
Example: “Write a letter you’ll never send.”
You can write in any language you prefer — English, Arabic, or your own mother tongue.
This is your space.
What to Bring
Bring your favorite pen and notebook—or borrow ours.
We’ll have extra paper and pens available for anyone who needs them.
Candles will be placed on every table to guide your night.
Want to Share Your Words?
At the end of each session, you’re invited (but not required) to leave a sentence or thought anonymously on a small card.
These handwritten fragments may be shared—poetically—on Kutubna’s Instagram as part of our “Written by Candlelight” series.
This Event is for You If…
You love to write but need a gentle push
You seek a peaceful, soulful evening space
You’re curious to explore journaling, letters, or poetic reflection
You want to disconnect from distraction and reconnect with yourself
