What do admissions committees look for in the graduate school application essay? Draft and/or revise your graduate school application essay in this two-hour workshop. You will receive guidance on conceptualizing your essay, finding the right words and sentences, and making the argument that you would be an excellent fit for the program you would like to join. This workshop is helpful for anyone planning to apply for any graduate school that requires an application essay written in English.
This workshop is led by Dr. Shatha Almutawa, a historian of ideas trained at the University of Chicago, where she received her MA and PhD. She has taught history at a number of higher education institutions in the United States, including Bradley University, Willamette University, and American University in Washington, DC. She has published over 30 articles of historical research in peer-reviewed scholarly journals and magazines. She is the founder and director of Kutubna Cultural Center.
