In this vibrant landscapes workshop with Shara Sheikh, participants of all ages paint natural scenery. Inspired by the painting “A View of the Tigris,” this session introduces basic painting techniques through an examination of Iraqi artist Abdul Kadir Al Rassam’s painting. Participants will learn fundamental methods like blending colors, creating textures, and mastering brush strokes. Participants will become familiar with landscape essentials and understand how to add depth and perspective to landscapes, bringing their paintings to life. This session helps participants explore and experiment with color palettes, shading, and highlighting, and emphasizes the value of mistakes and individual expression as part of the learning process. 

All materials are provided.

Shara Sheikh is a freelance designer, artist and creative marketing professional. She uses state of the art methods to convert imagination to real life visualisations. Her modelling skills span 2D, Vray, Autocad and Photoshop as well as furnishing interiors of residential houses. Shara designed the interior of Kutubna Cultural Center. She is an art aficionado and an artist herself, with painting as her medium.
